Celebrating Matt & Shell

We kicked off Shelley and Matt's wedding festivities on October 3 with a New Orleans-style engagement party. The Ehlert's, Jasinski's, Nagy's, and soon-to-be Schultz's helped us host the affair. It has been so fun being with Matt and Shell on their journey to engagement and now to wedding. Shell and I were Theta's together at Tech and of course, Matt and JP go way back with their days together working for UT football. Needless to say, we are excited to have another couple in the Tech/UT House Divided fraternity!

Of course, it's football season and this was the only date before January we could throw this shin-dig since Matt works for the UT football team. But, it was nice that we were able to celebrate during an off-week. Well, that doesn't mean football stops all together, right? So, we tied-in game entertainment to the party as well--I think the guys really enjoyed it.

The rain was a bit of a mess, though. We had nice table settings all set up outside and ended up having to take it all down and move inside with a few showers, but all-in-all it was a fun night!

Shelley and Matt, we are definitely looking forward to all of the upcoming festivities and the big day in May! Jonathan and I are both so thrilled to be a part of it and we look forward to introducing IBP to his/her first wedding in style!
