Girlin' It Up

Posted by TEAM PARKER at 1:00 PM
As you recall, we did not know Reese was going to be Reese until she arrived, so I had planned a very gender neutral nursery. The beginnings of the nest may have been suitable for a boy or girl, but we've been girlin' it up ever since Miss Reese made her arrival.

The monogrammed panels you see in the pic were planned be it a boy or girl. I had all of the white and brown painted and complete before delivery day and had already planned to do the monogram in silver sage if IBP was a boy and pink for a girl. I also added painted ceramic pink and brown knobs to her dresser. That coupled with some of the awesome gifts Reese has recieved has made for an adorable little room.

So anyway, just wanted to share a few pics of Reese's girly nursery. It continues to evolve, so stay tuned to see the awesome hair bow holder Aunt Lauren made...as soon as I get it hung!

Hi! I have a 7 week old baby girl and saw your blog from my friend Alisha P.'s blog- and I have a question I'm hopeful you can help me with! My baby is long and hates the infant car seat we have- which do you recommend? She just looks all squished and uncomfortable in it, and she can't stand being in it. (it's the snugride) Which seat do you have? Your baby seems to like it. :)

I would recommend the SnugRide 35 for you. It has the same great features and ratings as the regular SnugRide, but accomodates babies up to 35 lbs and 32 inches whereas the basic SnugRide only goes to 22 lbs and 29 inches. Reese absolutely LOVES her car seat...if that's all we had she could eat, sleep and play in it. Good luck!

Thanks! I'll see if we can try one of those in a store- hopefully she'll like it! :) Enjoy your new life with Reese- she's a cutie!

What style/color is Reese's carseat? Sorry, last question!

she actually has the teutonia tario car seat (graco's sister brand) in venetian red, but it is the same seat as the SnugRide 35, just rebranded and different softgoods. you can go to teutoniausa.com to see these, but they do cost more because of the brand, but are the same exact seat as the SnugRide 35...good luck!
